Sgt. Leo Fitzpatrick Named
February Employee of the Month

As the department’s Administrative Officer, Sergeant
Fitzpatrick is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
department’s fiscal activity. In part, his responsibilities include
preparing and maintaining payroll for the entire department, arranging
for and assigning details, accounts payable, budget planning, and grant
monitoring. All of these are accomplished with few, if any, complaints
regarding the accuracy of payroll records. Additionally, most of us
depend on him when we have questions regarding what is available in our
vacation, sick, and compensation time banks.
Over the
past several months, Sergeant Fitzpatrick went above and beyond his
duties, taking photographs of department members and employees and
arranging to have trading cards and posters made for each of them.
Copies were distributed to members of the department. The project was
very successful, with 100 percent sworn-member participation, capturing
a time in the life of our department that will live on long after we are
all retired.
Sergeant
Fitzpatrick is hereby commended for his determination in obtaining the
cooperation of all department members, availing himself to the times and
settings selected by the individual officers for their personal
photograph background and is therefore named the Natick Police
Department Employee of the Month for February, 2007
