Ofc. Robert White Named Officer White, involved in a continuing investigation of motor vehicle B&E's at the Natick Village, and on his own initiative, began working with resident/victims, as well as the management of the Natick Village complex. He arranged a neighborhood meeting involving approximately sixty Natick Village area residents to discuss this ongoing problem. Working closely with the maintenance and security staff in an attempt to identify suspects, Officer White was able to identify two persons of interest, both of whom were residents of the village at the time of the breaks, but had recently moved a short distance away. Officer White and the village management decided that the best first action, in the interest of preventing further incidents, was to serve a "no trespass" letter on the persons identified as possible suspects. Other apprehension strategies were identified for implementation. Officer White's proactive approach to this investigation is an example of how community resources, properly identified and utilized, contribute to the security of neighborhoods and further validates the reasons for our area assignment patrol strategy. For his dedication and excellence in police duty, Officer White is hereby commended and named Employee of the Month for September 2006. Dennis
