Ofc. Alan Graham Named
June 2006 Employee of the Month

Over the course of the month of June, Officer Graham took the lead role in investigating a number of motor vehicle crashes involving serious personal injuries.  Two crashes in particular ─ one involving a car colliding with a child riding an electric scooter — the other a rollover in the middle of the day at a busy four-way intersection.  In both instances Officer Graham dedicated many hours of his work day first locating then interviewing and re-interviewing witnesses and involved persons, searching the crash scene for trace and trail evidence, completing vehicle inspections, and performing speed and stop distance calculations.

Additionally, Officer Graham found time to coordinate activities with our department’s summer intern, Ms. Tara Chagnon.  Together they worked closely with the Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau under a grant completing a number of safety belt educational incentives resulting in an award to the Natick Police Department for $5,000.00.  These funds will be used for the purchase of new traffic related safety equipment for the department.

For the personal initiative displayed and his ability to set the example of high professional standards as a mentor to others, Officer Graham is hereby commended and named the Natick Police Department Officer of the Month for June 2006.
