Officer Diane Morrill Named
April Employee of the Month

On March 20, 2004 , Officer Diane Morrill was in contact with friends who had obtained a restraining order on their son who is alleged to be a substance abuser. Officer Morrill knew that the son had an outstanding arrest warrant and may be on a path of self-destruction.

Officer Morrill was able to convince the subject, with the aid of his parents to surrender himself to the district court on Monday morning. Officer Morrill proceeded to the courthouse where she informed the parents that their son had come down to the police station for processing and then would be transported to the Natick District Court. Due to Officer Morrill’s direct intercession this subject was off the streets and not looking for ways to get high and perhaps commit another crime. Her compassionate and caring manner coupled with working on her own time helped a troubled youth seek an avenue of hope and recovery.

We also recognize Officer Morrill for her continuing efforts towards successful implementation of the IMC Records Management System. Officer Morrill’s complete reports on this and other incidents demonstrate her commitment to continuous improvement

For her dedication and excellence in police duty, Officer Diane Morrill is hereby commended and named Employee of the Month for April 2004.
