Sergeant Robert Dunlop Named 
May Employee of the Month

 

Sgt. Robert D. Dunlop has volunteered to work with area youth interested in learning about a career in police work through the Natick Police Department Explorer Post #457.

In 2002, Sgt. Dunlop, along with other officers of the Natick Police Department was instrumental in forming the Explorer Post. In 2003 Sgt. Dunlop and Officer Cara Rossi-Cafarelli trained and supervised the Explorers and took them to the 2003 Massachusetts Explorers competition. They came home with the “Best Overall Post Award” in their first year of existence.

In 2004 Sgt Dunlop assumed responsibility as the adult advisor to the post. The members of Post 457 have contributed valuable services to the community by assisting the police department with traffic and crowd control at Natick Days in the fall of 2003, the BAA Marathon last month. Most recently the Post coordinated the Cub Scout Bike Rodeo on May 1st teaching younger Scouts the importance of bicycle safety.

For his commitment to the youth of this community and dedication to enhancing understanding of the role of police officers, Sergeant Robert D. Dunlop is hereby commended and named Employee of the Month for May 2004.
