Meter Enforcement Officer 
Susan Biggeri Named 
July Employee of the Month
 

Since joining the department as the town’s Meter Enforcement Officer, Susan Biggieri has proved enthusiastic and capable. Her coverage of the downtown area has been exceptionally thorough, enforcing parking regulations in often neglected areas as well as the Main Street and parking garage locations. Moreover, she is to be commended for her work ethic resulting in a significantly greater level of enforcement than has been the norm in recent years.

In addition to her meter enforcement duties, Susan Biggieri has voluntarily taken extra duties upon herself. She has taken up the responsibilities of the position of police matron, often working the night shift before resuming her duties as meter enforcement officer. This past winter, when injuries and illness thinned the ranks of crossing guards, she assumed the duties of that position as well. She frequently covered the Johnson school post before her 0900 shift as Meter Enforcement Officer and would cover the same post during the day. This freed up a uniformed officer that would often be forced to cover the post thereby assisting the department in its efforts to maintain proper patrol coverage as well as to ensure the safety of the school children.

For her service to the community and the department, Meter Enforcement Officer Susan Biggieri is hereby commended and named Employee of the Month for July 2004.
