Officer Cara Rossi-Cafarelli Named 
December Employee of the Month
 

On Friday 11/21/03 at approximately 2025 hrs, Officer Cara Rossi-Cafarelli responded to an alarm at 218 Speen St. , ‘The Golf Learning Center.’ The alarm company indicated it was coming from a motion sensor near a hallway. Within minutes Officer Rossi-Cafarelli signed off at the scene. Her next radio transmission indicated she was requesting a back up as she located two individuals dressed in dark clothing crouching down near an open door.

Officer Rossi-Cafarelli contained the individuals until Officer Ingham and Officer Brogan arrived. A pat down frisk of the males revealed each was carrying a ‘survival’ type knife, legal size, however, the back edge of the blade was serrated. Certainly their appearance was suspect. Officer Rossi-Cafarelli’s timely response, control of the suspects and thorough interviews with the juveniles and parents shows her professionalism to duty.

For her dedication and excellence in police duty, Officer Rossi-Cafarelli is hereby commended and named Employee of the Month for December 2003
