Ofc. Ed Arena
On Sunday, October 13, 2002, while on patrol on Route 9 near the
intersection of Oak Street, Officer Edward Arena noticed a group of
youths walking east on the westbound side of Route 9. Simultaneously he
noticed that the sign at Maria's Restaurant appeared damaged. Turning
into the parking area at Maria's Restaurant, Officer Arena attempted to
speak to the group by calling out to them. They then ran northerly on
Oak Street. Officer Arena requested assistance and was able to stop the
group in the vicinity of 99 Oak Street. One of the youths wore a large,
black hooded sweatshirt with a pouch pocket in front. There was a large
bulge in the pouch pocket which when patted down revealed a can of black
spray paint. |
